Practice Native weaving techniques with Lisa LaRue-Baker, co-curator of DoPika: Reinstate. Lisa learned basketry from Sandy Long, Thelma Vann Forrest, and Anna Sixkiller, and has been weaving for over 25 years. She'll begin by telling a traditional story about the first basket, and then she'll lead you through the Cherokee double wall weaving technique.
