What does an American look like? Works spanning styles, mediums, and time periods present a rich variety of answers. Cowboys, samurai, celebrities, homemakers, immigrants, tribal citizens, bathing beauties, and churchgoers collide in this variegated conversation about identity. Through an exploration of the people who make up our nation, this exhibition invites you to consider what it means to be an American.
